I thought this was funny because it looked like Maddie was trying to be just like her big sister!! She is always trying to be like the big kids. She doesn't seem to understand that she is only 3 and about half everyone's size!

I am so proud of my kids! They sure are a great bunch. As I was watching the kids at the photo studio, I had a little thought and realized that no matter what I do in this life, I sure did something right to be blessed with these great kids.
I snapped a few shots of Maddie before we went and these were a few of my favorites!
And if that wasn't enough, I came across this sign. I have never seen a sign like this and it gave me quite a chuckle!
This sign wasn't as amusing to me as where it was. 
The Old City Hall has been turned into a very expensive steakhouse. If you ask me, that is a great use of historical sites!!!
The girls thought they needed to pay to see the view. It is a cave we went down into.
This is pretty much what most of it looked like! Lots of dark walls with some dripping water! It was really neat. It was really cold down there.
Our next stop before the hotel for some much needed sleep was Salem, Massachussettes. The home of the Salem Witch Trials. If you ask me, this tour was a bunch of "Hocus Pocus"! But, let me tell you, the mere fact that they have these tours and apparently make a decent amount of money off of them tells me we are a gullible people!! These 7th graders were a prime audience!
These were our tour guides. Obviously dressing the part. They kept trying to convince the kids that all these places were haunted because of what happened there during the witch trials! The kids were just sure they would be able to see a ghost!
While we were listening to the history teacher explain the history of Samuel Adams (other than the brewery), this very energetic man in a green bodysuit came running through the crowd! He was quite interesting and caused much excitement among our crowd of 7th graders.
Samuel Adams. I am not really sure what the whole story behind him was. I had already walked a really long way!
Apparently, right about where that concrete barrier is, the Boston Massacre took place. I guess when something like that happens, the best thing to do is make an intersection out of it!!
This is another reason I have no desire to be a tour guide anywhere historic!! Another period costume to lead a whole group of peole through town.

There was a whole room/exhibit dedicated to lots of different jellyfish. These were pretty neat. 
The whole group of 7th graders were very upset by the idea that one would have to pay a quarter to use the public toilet! I guess it goes to prove that nothing in life is ever free!! We opted to use the restrooms at the Marriott rather than wait for all the people that were trying to figure this out!!
After the movie and aquarium visit were loaded up on these beauties!! These were apparently made to be used in war. They obviously are no longer used for that so what better thing to do with it than load up a bunch of tourists!! It was an interesting ride to say the least. There was major traffic in Boston and we were navigating through it on a boat!! Great idea!

The driver gave all the kids a chance to "drive" the vehicle once we were in the Charles River. It was quite interesting (as was our driver obviously). The kids really seemed to enjoy it. This is Taylor driving the boat.
Taylor wouldn't take her photo with the driver of our Duck. (Can't imagine why not) I wasn't really trying to protect my 7th grade image so I went ahead and took my pic with him. He had some interesting zebra striped platform heels on with this getup! I just pray the guy doesn't have kids! 
Yes, that is (supposedly) the rock that the settlers on the Mayflower first stepped out onto! Convenient that it said 1620 right on it huh! 
This is an exact replica of the Mayflower ship that was brought over from England sometime in the 50's. It is pretty interesting, although I thought it was a bit smaller than I had imagined it would have been.

We are so proud of her for all her growing up. It is the last of the potty training for us!! Almost surreal really. It is amazing to realize we don't have any more diapers to change here. I am pretty sure we have had someome in diapers for the past 13 years. I don't even want to know the number of diapers that is or the dollar amount that adds up to.
He seems happy with them and has been pleased with the results at school. 
So, I knew that we had to get rid of the binki but I was not sure at all how we were going to do it. Her binki was a part of her. She mentioned just before Easter that she wanted some purple plah doh. She asked several times for it and I had the inspiration I needed. We would make this work. We picked up some plah doh from the store and headed off to the mall after the egg hunt. I approached the apparently mute Easter bunny and explained the plan. He/She was to take the binki from Maddie and give her the plah doh. Easy as that!! 
And like nothing else in parenting or life. It was as easy as that. She did not ask for her binki after that except for a few times here and there but was quickly over it when reminded of her trade with the bunny. Not sure if she will ever look at the easter bunny quite the same again but I am fine with that. No more searching for the binki at bedtime, car rides and the incessant whining until it is found!! It has been great!!
Probably the last year for Zack to be hunting eggs but he was a good sport about it and enjoyed the candy he found inside the eggs.
Chris didn't take long to find his alotted 12 eggs. He was pretty quick and then helped some of the smaller kids to find the rest of their eggs.
Maddie is just the right age to really find the little joys in egg hunting. She was so excited with each egg she found. 
The kids sure had fun hunting for eggs and then playing on the playground. It sure was nice to have a beautiful sunny day spend outside.
