Some Fun Snow Photos (no shortage of that here!)

Buster and Miley were very interested in the enormous flakes of snow falling outside the hotel window.
Madelynne ventured out in her snow clothes with Greg to take the dog outside!! She likes to wear all of this stuff (for a minute!!) so we have to be pretty quick about getting right to the activity so she doesn't lay on the floor and throw a huge fit until all of it just falls off!!

Buster loves the snow!! He would stick his nose as far into the snow as he could and then he would jump up out of it and try to eat the snow out of the air!! He took his time when it was time to go outside which didn't thrill whoever was lucky enought to have to take him out!!
Chris and Zack braved the cold and went out to conquer the snow hill!! That hill is ALL snow that had been shoveled out of the parking lot. They had looked at that hill for several days and were thrilled I let them go out and climb it!!

A post for the crafters (and my sisters!)

So I just thought that a few of you crafters would get a kick out of this. I was making my scrapbook page and wanted to do some stitching on it. Well, when I moved to New York I left most of my family behind including what now amounts to all of my sisters and a brother. I realized today when I wanted to do some sewing I also left behind my mom's sewing machine!! I was totally bummed!!! So, being resourceful I went downstairs and found a little mini sewing maching I had bought a long time ago for Taylor (who was none too impressed with it) and it was still in the box. Well I opened it and got straight to work!!
For the record, that box of crayons is not a large box of crayons!! The sewing machine is tiny. It has Hello Kitty on it and a bunch of sweet sayings about friends and flowers!! Bonus!! It is GREEN!! It worked fine.
Tonia, you will love this!! At this moment this is what my scrapbook area looks like!!! I have not put any of it away as I am working diligently on my page for the month of January to make sure I get it in by the end of the month. I will get this looking Tonia approved and post another photo of that ASAP! Don't hold your breath too long!!

Some odd and interesting things around the house!!

I think at this point I could write a book of 100 things to do with a box. Christopher made a time out spot with this one. Notice Timothy peeking in at the visitation window to the right!!

So we had not yet found or unpacked the toy boxes but the huge box of costumes was found and immediately an instant favorite for ALL the children!! Timothy had his heart set on this alligator costume that obviously would have been a better fit for Maddie!! He wore this costume for about 4 days before I think I have successfully hidden it(or he found equally odd things to play with!)

So, with moving I thought it would be a great time to move Tim out of his Toddler Thomas the Tank Engine bed and get him a big boy bed. Great idea except I haven't gotten the replacement bed!! Tim actually told me he was tired and wanted his blanket one afternoon and when I looked over from whatever project I was working on He was out cold. And yes that is a Nilla Wafer cookie in his mouth!!!

Now this is exactly as it appears. Chris also does not have a bed yet (next weekend!!) and so to soften the blow to his feelings we made a big deal about how cool it would be to make a bed out of a big wardrobe box. He loves it!! Unfortunately the cat also loves it and the boys complain that the cat's eyes look funny in the dark!! Nothing I can do about that!!

On a side note, I hope that Child Services does not have a direct link to this blog!!!

Maddie's newest Hat Choice!!

This is the latest choice in Maddie's hat collection!! She is not too happy with me for some reason. (I think it was the no to the Cheeto request!!) This is actually Christopher's stocking cap and she hasn't pulled it down on her head.
