Chris at the Auto show

Here is a photo of Chris with the National Guard Chopper at the Auto show. I am pretty sure it is his goal to own one of these some day. Hopefully not while Mommy is around!! Not her favorite thought. Those things scare me. He doesn't seem to think it would be bad at all!! Boys will be boys!!!

Chris went with Grandpa Hughes to the Auto show for his birthday!! He had a great time getting in all the cars and checking out all the cool new cars coming out. He also brought home lots of goodies they were handing out there. His favorite, a flip book from AAA!!!

Hello Again!!

Yes I am still here. I thought for sure I would be kicked off the blog for not blogging for 2 months straight!! In my defense, I have been a bit busy around here. I haven't been taking many photos I realized. I will try to do better. The kids are getting so big and are getting busier every day!! Right now it is a beautiful 8 degrees on average (yes that is Farenheit!!) It seems to be snowing every other day around here. These are the times I miss San Diego!!

I will try to be better about blogging. ( I think I said that a few months ago too!) We have lots of exciting events coming up this year!! Aunt Tori is getting married in February along with all the girls in our house having a birthday in February. Chris will turn 5 next week on the 29th (Kindergarten 2008 here we come!!!) We have a big vacation planned to Florida where we will get to meet up with Greg for a whole week!! We are looking forward to this year and all that it will bring!!

Happy New Year

Timothy decided that he would ring in the new year by taking a bit of a fall and take on the corner of the table. As you can see, the table wins. This black eye is still slightly there, although.....

You have to really look to see where that one ends and the other two injuries begin. Now I will take the blame a little for the one on his right eye (the smaller injury) as I got in the middle of him and his cousin's plan to run wildly through Target and caused them to bump heads. Of couse his face took his cousin's head to it. He made sure that everyone in Target knew that "I gave him another black eye!!" The black eye on top of the original one is a mystery to me!! I am sure there was a witness but no one around here is talking!! I guess that is the "Brotherhood".

Here is an attempt at a group photo of the kids. No one was crying!! That is a success!!

Here is a nice shot of Maddie trying to show off her mouthful of teeth!! She sure knows how to use them!! She is getting really big and is very vocal. She tries to blend in with the rest of the group I guess.

Christmas at the Hughes'

Wi got a Wii!!! Yippii!!

Chris got a new fishing pole!!!

Maddie is checking out her new sandals from Uncle Jon and Aunt Cheryl!!

And then they sleep!!

This year obviously the big excitement here was the discovery of the Wii from Santa. You see, we found and bought one for the kids and wrapped it in several layers of paper. When the children just couldn't stand it any longer, they coaxed the youngest siblings to "accidently tear the paper". Well, around here that is certain doom for Christmas. I scooped up all the gifts and "took them back". The children spent the 3 weeks before Christmas trying to make up for the mishap and hoping Santa would come through since Mom already took that one back!! Christmas morning was a happy one afterall. Santa came through!!

Greg was able to be home for 2 weeks over Christmas. That was a big deal for the family. I don't think he was really accustomed to all the noise and chaos that seems to be par for the course around here. He managed to cope and have a great time with the kids before heading off to the UK after New Years. He is getting the hang of driving on the "wrong" side of the car on the "wrong" side of the road!! He did say the rental car may need new tires when he is done with it since he keeps checking the curbs!! We all miss him around here and are looking forward to seeing him over Spring Break in March for a fun family vacation to Florida!!!
