SICK!!

As mentioned in the previous post we had quite an outbreak of the flu at our house. The worst of it started with Tim on Thursday evening. He seemed to get over it in about a day or so. We thought what a bummer but everyone else seemed fine. Then Saturday arrived. The day went pretty good. We painted the living room and prepared a birthday party for Chris. Zack had a scout trip to the zoo and all seemed normal. Greg went to pick up Zack and while he was gone I got a frantic phone call from the scout leader. Zack was vomitting in the van on the way home! Yeah!! Greg managed to get Zack home and in the remainder of the evening this was the scene at our house. Yes, they were literally dropping like flies!! Our bedroom is on the main floor and the youngest four kids rooms are upstairs. So, we covered the couches so they could be closer to the bathroom and us. Shortly after the aforementioned birthday celebration, Maddie decided that she would stand in the middle of the carpet and upchuck!! Three down two to go.

This is a flattering photo of Zack trying to endure the birthday festivities for Chris. One thing I did just notice about these photos is that the (lime green) vaccuum cleaner seems to be in all of them!!
Of all the places in the house Maddie chose this wonderful place to drop over asleep!! Tutu and all!!
By the end of the night Christopher had fallen ill and by Sunday morning Greg and I had fallen ill. I will say that was the absolute sickest I have been in a long long time. We just rested all day and it seemed to move pretty quick. It wasn't fun but I am grateful we were able to get it all over in a relatively short period of time.
Ahhhh! Taylor. She maintained the 2 days unsick! She bragged continuously about her being able to avoid being sick. My best advice to her was to choose wisely what she ate. Well sure enough. After all had gone to bed on Sunday night. Taylor was stricken!!

No one escaped this bug! We all made it through and although it felt like we had been run over by a truck, we made it. We lost several days of work but have since caught up on all that must be done. Hopefully we have paid our dues in that department and we will go forward well!
